Single Memorial Tree

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Pappas family and friends. What a beautiful song that Charisse wrote. It´s a beautiful tribute to the love of those that surrounded her and the loving heart she clearly had for those in her life.

I remember Cynthia and Charisse from Mason Ridge. I was lucky to see the house without a front door. I´ve been a FLW fan ever since. So sorry to hear of the loss of such a special person.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Charisse. May she rest in peace. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

I didn´t know Charisse but we were both members of the class of 1974 at Park West Senior high. It sounds like she lived a very interesting life. Also sounds like she was cut out specifically for the passion she had in her adulthood along with dedication to those who needed assistance in their golden years, like she took care of her parents. My condolences to her family.

It is hard to capture Charisse in words. Kind, compassionate, gentle, funny, humble, wise, and a very loyal friend. I was truly honored to have an office next to hers at DHSS. We worked on senior well- being reports and outreach together. I had the immense privilege to read her book early on, offering edits, reflecting how humble she was. I have rarely known someone so deeply calm, humble and kind to everyone, the earth and all its beings. Thank you for welcoming me as your work neighbor and...

Eleven months ago, Char and I began Wednesdays with Char for 30 minutes to an hour. My wife joined us as often as she could. We would talk of many things, I would play my uke and sing songs she requested. It culminated very recently when Cyn was present and she recorded my rendition of Pure Love and Marsha´s song Appreciation. We bonded even more deeply. We love Char and will miss her physical presence even as we feel her spirit. Rest in Peace, my friend, or buzz around the other dimension...

Charisse, or "Char" as we called her, was a true friend. She exemplified kindness, one of the best human traits, as well as thoughtfulness and wisdom. We played music together on our lunch breaks at DHSS and later in the SloJam group. My husband Dick and I visited her many times during hospice and had many wonderful discussions. We will miss her much. Pleasant journey, Dear One!
