Not sure what to say?

I WAS SHOCKED AND SADDEN BY THE DEATH OF CHARITEY. I AM SORRY WE (I) NEVER HAD ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO RECONNECT AS FAMILY. TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE.

YOUR COUSIN
BRENDA WHITFIELD

Charitey was a wonderful person! Our paths crossed in a class entitled "Film and Religion". She was a student at Garrett and I a student at Seabury-Western. We discoverd we were natives of Lousiville, KY, members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the rest became history! We enjoyed viewing and critiquing films and a general analysis of current events. I loved her wry sense of humor, intellect and easy smile. A stickler for details, she would cringe at the misspelling of her name...

Charity's life was one of devoted service for many years. Though she was private, Charity was an example of Paul's message in Romans 12:10-13.

She:
Was devoted to one another in brotherly love, and honored others above herself.
Was never lacking in zeal, but kept her spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Was joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.
Shared with God's people who were in need.

Charity left a significant model for...

No more pain and suffering. May you rest in peace, Charity.Thx for the memories. Stephen Terrell(Chicago, Ill,)

Charitey and I were not only classmates, but friends. She had a quiet and sweet spirit. My heart ached when I received this notice. However, based on her obituary, I believe she had a relationship with the Lord. I thank God for great memories of her. God bless her family during this time of bereavement.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

We often thought of Charity, wondered how she was doing and wished her the best. She has often been in our thoughts and prayers. The Young's Chapel AME church where we grew up will never forget you.

May God give your family peace during this time. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. I attended elementary, junior high and high school with Charity. I always thought she was a wonderful and very smart person.
