Not sure what to say?

Charlene was a fellow quilter in the Hawaii Quilt Guild. I was always in awe of the creative quilts she designed and completed. She had lovely openings for shows around town and I enjoyed seeing my friend honored at those. She had a great sense of humor as well as empathy. I was the lucky recipient of her various hand crafted Christmas cards and felt honored by them. She leaves wonderful memories of such a creative woman behind. I hope those memories also carry her family during these sad...

When I think of Ms Charlene I think of a Vivacious & Warm Hearted person. We took care of her for a little over three years. She was part of our daily routine, especially me. I missed taking care of her, I missed her sassy youthful face, her smile when she joked around with my husband. Her favorite line of sentence "wait a minute, I can do it, feels wonderful, thank you". Warmth feeling of her little hands that pulls my hand towards her jaw below her ear and pressed it against her...

I had stayed in touch with Char since our nursing school days as we would talk on the phone and write until she needed a care facility. I have several wonderful quilts she made and some other things as well as the artistic cards at Christmas. Her family was her whole life and I am sure they miss her. Mary Amundsen

I was also a student at James Ward Thorne School of Nursing at Passavant Hospital. and graduated with Charlene. She was a wonderful friend. We were long distance friends when she lived in Hawaii. Then we lost touch after several years. I offer my condolences to her family. May she rest in peace.

Charlene was so sweet. She sent me decorated cards displaying her artistic talent which I also put on my Christmas tree. When Syd got cancer she sent him a beautiful quilt she made for him. Such good memories of a wonderful friend . Deepest sympathy to the family . R.I.P.Charlene.

I was also a classmate of Charlene`s in Chicago at Passavant Memorial Hospital. I didn´t keep as close to touch as I would like to. I talked to her on the phone quite a few years ago. It doesn´t seem possible that it was 68years ago when we graduated. when I talked to her on the phone, it seemed like I hadn´t been away from her over the years. I will miss knowing that she was in Hawaii my love and condolences to the family.

Charlene and I were in the same class at PassavantMemorial Hospital, James Ward Thorne school of nursing. I kept in contact with her over the years, but have lost contact the last few years.

Charlene and I were student nurses together in Chicago at Passavant Hospital. We kept in touch somewhat over the years. I was in Honolulu a number of years ago and we were to meet for lunch, but that didn't happen because she was ill. My condolences to her family. I was fortunate to spend those years with such a fine woman!!!
