I attended Radford College with Charlene and had classes with her. We became friends and use to get together at her home with Glen. Charlene was married and I was not. Upon graduation I married and my husband was in the army so we moved alot. I currently live in California. I just got my Radford Highlander magazine today and saw where she had passed away last year. It made me very sad. She was a very sweet college friend. I know she will be missed by her family and those that were still...

Growing up, Charlene was a second mom to me. She lived just a few houses down from us. Her son, Kerry, and I were friends growing up and I would carpool with them to school and back. Every morning she made sure I had a good breakfast (even when I already ate at home) and every afternoon she made sure I had a snack to eat after school. She would give me a hug whenever she saw me and told me how much she loved me. Whenever she baked fudge (and she mad the best fudge!) she would make sure to...

When our children were young, my husband and I crossed paths with Glen and Charlene often at various sporting events. In recent years, after Glen's passing, Charlene and I reconnected and became friends. Charlene was a kind-hearted woman, and a great cook, who dearly loved her family -- both her birth family and of course, her husband and sons. She was always so proud of Glen, Chris, and Kerry and of the skills they accomplished and the men they are. May each of us gain strength from...
