Not sure what to say?

Hi All. Mary Nooney Engle here. I just want to say thank you for all the wonderful words you have shared. They are such a blessing to read. Talk about a blast from the past here. Wow. Darlene, I remember you and your family from many years ago, at Northside Assembly. We were just little kids then. Harold Bowen and Lorna Holler, again familiar names and faces. Memories from First Assembly. Lorna, I so enjoyed reading what you wrote. It's never easy to call someone by their first name when...

I loved Mrs. Nooney ,she was my kids( Paul, Violet, and Jennie) teacher and my friend. We were all a little scared of her at first but once you got to know her you realized how much she cared about all the kids and just wanted them to do their best even if she had to push them just a bit. My kids all say that of all their teachers Mrs. Nooney taught them the most, worked them the hardest , and grew them the most.I helped in her class room and learned a lot while just doing that. Over the...

Mrs Nooney taught both my sons at First Assembly. She was a teacher's teacher and a loving person who sought the best in all of her students. My condolences to the family and may God's peace be with you all

Mrs. Nooney was one of my elementary teachers at First Assembly of God. I was terrible at memorizing my bible verses but she never gave up and she didn´t let me either she is the only teacher I actually remember from back then.

I grew up with Mrs Nooney and the kids and I know how much she loved our Lord Jesus Christ, I'm sorry for your loss but I know she's happy to be home with Jim and our Lord. Darlene j Sheen

The last time I saw Mrs. Nooney at church, I called her Mrs. Nooney and she said,"Now Lorna, we are both adults and you don't have to call me that, you can call me Charlene." We both laughed and I tried, but it felt so wrong. She had been a colleague at First Assembly Christian when I began my teaching career. What a wonderful mentor she was. The Nooneys were some of the best adults all of us kids at church group up knowing and learning from. Pragmatic, funny, smart, adventurous, and...
