Not sure what to say?

We are three gentlemen from Sweden who in 2010 undertook a road trip through the USA. When we see each other, we will always talk about our meeting with Charlene and found this somber news while searching the internet. Perhaps by sharing our good memory we can spread some joy. After booking ourselves into a hotel in Cottonwood we went across the street to the Black Bear Diner for dinner. It didn't take long before Charlene showed up and joined us. She was curious about what our further route...

Dear Abbey, I just learned of Char's death and want to let you know how special the two of you were to Janie and me. Janie died in August, 2021, so now it's just my new dog Abby (!) and me. I would love to hear from you. Jack Amundson

I am heartbroken. I tried to reach out to Char after being out of touch for a few years and found this obituary. Abbie, my heart goes out to you and Char´s family. May her memory be a blessing to all.

I always used to think that Aunt Charl would out live everyone because she was my Godmother and she had to take care of me if everyone passed away. Boy did I learn my lesson as I grew older. When she would come home to visit she would teach me how to play her instruments or learn about some new rocks from where she lived. We would write as pen pals for awhile until she became too...

My husband Steve and I had just moved to Cottonwood, 1995. We rode up to Jerome. Char hung over the balcony of one of the many old buildings, and hollared at us. "Hey, you new in town?" That began a quarter of a century friendship. We put down some miles together. On our wedding night a procession of motorcycles rode from Page Springs to Old Town Cottonwood. Guys rapping their pipes, honks honking, women yelling, and I could hear Char above it yelling, "we love you guys!" Over the years,...

As my sister-in-law, Char was the free spirit I admired for her countless talents, wise counsel, and deep spiritual insights. I will always remember her for her beautiful and genuine smile that demonstrated her love of life. Hers was a life too soon gone.

I have great memories of Char from Brentwood days in Muskegon. So sorry and such a tragedy that she has passed. My prayers go out to her family and friends.

Heartfelt sympathy during this difficult time. I’ll always remember Char as Hank’s fun loving little sister. May she Rest In Peace
