Not sure what to say?

To Clay and all your family, my heartfelt condolences on your loss. I only met your father once, Clay, when he met with us at the U of O. But I knew then that he was a fine person and a fine educator (as I know you are, too). And I still remember with joy the day, many years ago now, that you (Clay) and I met again at Lewis & Clark College. It was good to see you then, and please know you have been in my mind often over the years. So I wanted to take this opportunity to send my message of...

I was so excited when it was announced that Chuck would be our principal at Lake Grove. He was one of the best principals our District ever had. He was so supportive of teachers and kids. He wanted the best for all of us. His strong character, warm smile and his love of life made him the best to be around. I loved that guy.

Chuck was a great friend and mentor. I worked for him as a teacher for 7 years. Because of his guidance and example, I became a school administrator. He was a true professional. Someone who touched the lives of many children, teachers and parents. I have always had positive and enjoyable memories of Chuck.

So sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. I had the privilege of teaching at Uplands Elem. when he was principal. Of all the principals I taught under in 33 years, he was hands down, the best. Always had good advice, and a great smile. Heaven's gain, our loss.

To the family you are Beyond expectations and awesome. ..to Mr Actor thank you. The journey you lived etched the hearts of all who had the chance to win a smile from you. My prayers are for Marilyn, Clay and Lisa, share the memories .

Our sincere condolences to the Actor family. May you draw comfort from the strength only God can give. "He will make you firm, he will make you strong." - 1 Peter 5:10

Chuck was principal for four of our children and I worked for him as an aide and mother helper. He truly was an admirable administrator and friend. My husband, Jim, is a retired educator and has the same regard for Chuck as a colleague, friend, and fellow fishing partner.

I met Chuck Actor when I served on the Waluga Jr. High School Booster Board in the 1980's when he was principal. He was very supportive of parent volunteers and I always appreciated his help. His memory lives on in my heart.

RIP Mr Actor.
He was my principal at Uplands elementary... A wonderful man.
