Not sure what to say?

This is a quote from my father back in 88 or 89 "Chuck is not only a damn good race car driver he is the most unselfish man I think I've ever met". I don't know what else to say, except I'll miss you.

Chuck was the best neighbor and freind we have ever had we will miss him very much !

Luckily I ran in to Chuck and some of his friends last week in Herrin on the street. I hadn't seen him in many years but he was as wonderful then as he always was. Freeman Spur has lost their last true legend in his own time. Kenny McNeal and now Chuck. The party is truly over in Freeman Spur now! Awe, but for the memories we all share, Chuck you will never be forgotten, Godspeed Chuck, rest in peace!

CHUCK YOU BROUGHT NEW MEANING TO THE PHRASE
"MAKING THE SHOW" WE WILL MISS THE COLOR AND THE CLASS YOU GAVE ALL WITH YOUR DRIVING SUIT AND SMILE
BEFORE AND AFTER EACH RACE. I BET YOUR ON THE FRONT
ROW ABOVE RIGHT NOW..GOD LOVES REAL RACERS.

My family will greatly miss Chuck. I knew him as a racer and a friend for years. I have many good memories of him as I was growing up watching him run "The Amati Groove". He will be deeply missed and his family well thought of in our hearts.

I enjoyed watching Chuck race at many tracks, but I have especially fond memories of visiting with him at Haubstadt during intermission back when the pits were in the infield. He is a major reason that I became a race fan.
RIP, Chuck

Chuck I'm really sad to hear you are gone it was just monday we sat at Cherry street and talked. Mike and I will greatly miss you! He was an awsome guy had story's about racing for everyone. We love you chuck and you will be missed!

The Amati Family. Charles will be greatly missed,I have known him for years. We did many things together. have been with him at many races.the family has our deepest sympathy, and will be in our prayers.

It was a pleasure to watch Chuck race.He made the races very exciting and made a person sit on the edge of their seat wondering what he was going to do to get to the front.
