Charlie was one of my go-to people for the Logan County publication Our Times. He was so helpful and full of memories. One of the issues was on World War II, and I had an article about him and his experiences. In fact, we were in Florida at the same time, and I visited him and his wife, Mary, at their home in Bradenton to get his memories. He was an invaluable resource for many of the publications--and such a special guy.

Charlie was special. A lovely caring man. He became a fast friend of my parents Gwen and Murdo MacNiven in Florida as they were all snowbirds. We met Charlie and MJ while visiting. He has remained a steadfast friend for the last 30 years. That is the quality of a good man. We share in your loss. Our sympathies to your family. Thinking of you!
