I was a firefighter and officer in Plainfield with Charlie, went to a number of schools together, I believe starting up at Passaic County College for fire science. Loved his writing style. I remember one exam he wrote a paragraph of his reasoning for the selection of a multiple choice question. When I asked him why, he said "you never know. He (instructor) might like my answer even if it's wrong." Always enjoyed reading the articles he published. Just a truly nice guy. My condolences to all.
