Not sure what to say?

He was an interesting person and a kind, gentle soul.

Jerry, today I saw a man with a face that made me happy to feel near you for a minute of the great happiness you magically could bring, and probably are doing on the streets of Heaven with other late artists you admired. What fun we had, dancing in the first nightclub in Athens with black lights, which made my pink patent-leather pumps glow, with a matching hula-hoop you bought me: 1967! A dear friend. A kind man. I carry you in my heart...

When I left Athens you gave me your address and pinned a twenty dollar bill in the hem of my dress "in case of emergency." Year 1975

Mr. Ayers and family: I was very sorry to hear about Jerry's untimely death. I enjoyed keeping in touch with him through the years via the telephone. he was his own person. He was one of the first people that I got to know who was really into art. You will be in my thoughts and prayers during the coming weeks.

My deepest sympathy and condolence to the family for your loss. May you find peace and comfort in reading Hosea 13:14 during this time of grief.

Jeremy was my teacher, hero, and friend. I will miss him deeply.
