CHARLES "CHUCK" JAMES Age 69. September 16, 2016. Beloved husband of Lois. Loving father of Megan, Chip (Maria), and Nini. Proud grandfather of Charlie and Louis. Brother of Loretta (Jim) Reno. Uncle of Sarah and Bridget. Visitation Tuesday 2-9 p.m. at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Prayers service 7:00 p.m. Instate Wednesday 9:30 until 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Paul on the Lake Church, 157 Lakeshore Dr., Grosse Pointe Farms. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Boystown, www.boystown.org.

I work at Walsh and would see Chuck in the faculty are before class. He was always so kind and would take the time to speak with me. He always made me laugh. He was such a sweet person and I am so sorry for your loss.

I am a student at Walsh College, and I had a class this summer with Professor Baker. Even he was tried last class, he came just to make sure if we had any question. He was kind and caring. I had a good time in his class, and he was one of my favorite professor at Walsh College. May Bless his soul, and may rest in Peace. I am sorry for your lost.

So sad to learn of Chuck's passing . . always a great guy and loyal friend. . . Back in the day, Chuck and I tried to start a New Orleans/French style "Trio" together. . .He was such a great sax player and musician. . .wish I had a chance to play music with him again. . .from all your pals at St. Joes & DLS.
