Not sure what to say?

It was not until I received the University of Hartford Observer today, June 26, 2021, that I learned of Chip’s death. We were students at Hartt College- I graduated in 1976. Chip and I were in the choral performing organizations together, and we often hung out together with our friends. I remember him as a wonderfully fun and funny person who gave so willingly of himself. I loved his laugh. He mentioned you, Cheryl, many times. He was a good friend in school. My very deepest sympathy to you,...

Dear James, I probably met Charles when I was at your house but I have no clear memory. From what people wrote he was a pretty great guy. I do remember my sister Mary and Leslie being close friends. I used to hang around them a little and listen in on their conversations. They were about 6 years older than us. I remember you sitting next to me in algebra class. I never did my homework and cheated like mad. I'm sure I annoyed you, I never shut up and everything was funny to me. Very anxious...

Sending our sympathy for your loss with memories of childhood gatherings of the Robbins clan, your cousin, Bob.

I knew Chip since I was in grammar school and he was in high school. I saw him blow away the audience with a trombone solo at the west side high Pops Concert. He was a good friend to my whole family for many years. You will be missed.

I met Chip and knew him through friends. He was a very kind person. My deepest condolences to his family.

My condolences to Cheryl and her entire family - may your brother rest in peace.

Cheryl my condolences on the loss of your brother. God rest his soul.

Though its been decades I remember the Balin family from my childhood . I am sorry to hear of your loss . Lots of love, cousin Sandy

Chip was a good guy with a great smile and a pleasant sense of humor who made the best of things when we were in high school. I was sorry to learn that he had passed. I haven't seen him since we graduated 50 years ago. I was sorry to learn of his passing and I hope that he was at peace and didn't suffer. Rest Easy Chip.
