Charles Banks Jr.

Enlightening to read again the condensed life story of such an accomplished person. So many chapters in his book of life spent in service to mankind, to country, church, and friends all around. He and Susan were the example of true family unity. Like how young Charlie Banks carries the name and legacy forward of such a wonderful human being.

Susan and Chuck Banks sat in the row behind Joan and I during their first visit to St Johns Church in 2012. We turned to meet them during `The Peace´ and remained good friends thereafter. Susan made lovely pastoral visits years later during Joan´s terminal illness. I enjoyed bonding dinner meals with Chuck during his last year of life, sharing reminiscent life stories. Wonderful friends we all were.

Sorry to read that Chuck passed away. I was thinking of him recently when driving past his former office in Mount Kisco. I worked closely with him on cable franchise negotiations when he was serving as the attorney for the town of Yorktown. We also used to meet for lunch and I always enjoyed our chats.

My valued friend since 1972. He was a good man.
