My condolences to the Barksdale Family and friends for the loss of CHARLES. His music was still on top when I was a teen in the '60, my kids grooved with it listening to it in the '80s and it still hangs in strong. May you continue to be blessed with his memory and legacy and your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times you shared together; and may the hope that God's word gives us for those we lost in death be comforting, faith building and encouraging to you (John 6:40) ~...

Altho, I wasn't born in the "Dells" generation, but I grew up with my mom & family who loved listening to the one and only "Dells". I know most of their music, and sad to hear Mr. Barksdale is no longer with us. I pray the family be comforted during this time and know that God is the true source of comfort and strength you need.
