Charles G. Bass Sr.

I grew up in Winter Park subdivision of New Hope. It was a great place, at a great time. There were many wonderful adults in the neighborhood to provide education, experiences, and opportunities for us kids. Mr. Bass, Charlie was one we admired greatly. He and Shirley were my #3 grass mowing customer. I wish I had been able to spend time with him during my adult life. God Bless Charlie and his entire Family.

My heart was saddened this morning when I read of Charlie's passing. I haven't see you all in years but my memories of Charlie are many. He was such a happy man. I could always count on a hug. When my Katie was born (nearly 34 yrs ago) he and Miss Shirley showed up with multiple gift cards for groceries and then sat and encouraged me as a new mom. They don't make many men like Charlie anymore. May God grant you peace and comfort in your memories. ...
