I was just remembering my dad, Harry C Williams Sr, and it brought Dr Baxter to mind. My dad received burns when he had a stroke and landed on a gas powered edger. After many weeks of in hospital care we met Dr Baxter at Doctor's Hospital in East Dallas. What a God send. Dr Baxter had more compassion for his patients and the care he gave my dad was beyond anything words can express. He was truly an angel on earth.

I had the pleasure of having Dr Baxter as a patient a couple of times, as a Parkland nurse. He kindly autographed a biographical entry in one of my JFK assassination books. I was fresh out of nursing school, but he was a delight as a patient.

Dear Mrs. Baxter and family -
I am sorry to hear of your loss.
Although I didn't know know Dr. Baxter well, his reputation is outstanding. I did know your sons, Ronnie and Brad, during our high school years and know that you and Dr. Baxter have a lovely family.
My Deepest Sympathy -

I work at UTSW and don't know Dr. Baxter, but I have heard many wonderful things about him. His contributions, especially for burn victims, make him a legend to me and many others.

I worked for Dr. Baxter from 1978-1985. This was my first "real" job after graduating college, and working for him was a unique experience and a rewarding one. On my last day of working for him, I had a conversation with him in his office, covering the time I was there and other things. His last words to me were, "I hope you will come back here if I asked you to". That time never came, but I am grateful for having known him and having worked for him the years I did.
I am very sorry...
