Not sure what to say?

I was very sorry to hear of Charles's passing. He was a great friend of the family, as well as my first lawyer! He cojolled the traffic court judge to let me off with probation after I got my first ticket at age 15! My parents were out of town; Charles was the first lawyer I thought of asking to represent me. He was a really fine person!

Charlie Bernstein was everything a lawyer should be. He practiced law like he lived his life: pro bono populi (for the good of the people). He was an inspiration to me for more than a half century. I will miss him.

Charlie was one of a generation of lawyers who I looked up to and modeled myself after when I began practicing law nearly 40 years ago. Charlie was an excellent advocate and a kind and patient mentor to younger lawyers. I enjoyed working with him and getting to know him over the years, and I will miss him. My condolences to the Bernstein family.

We are saddened by Charlie´s passing. He was a great friend and mentor for many years to both of us, even in his retirement years. Our heartfelt condolences to all the family with all our love. Phyllis & Joel Doobrow

Very sorry to learn of Charlie's passing. Charlie, Frieda and family were our neighbors in West Ashley and then again in Mt. Pleasant. Really great people. Thank you to the family for sharing Charlie with so many people, causes and communities.

David, I am sorry for the loss in your family. May you all find peace at this difficult time.
