Bill, sorry to hear of the passing of your brother. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Jeff Meckley (Logandale, NV)

I met Charles at Widowed Persons of Mobile. He loved his Jo Ann and sons and granddaughter and bragged on Molly's cooking. He shared wonderful stories about his childhood, and his life with Jo Ann and he and his sons working on projects in their special room. He seemed to get special joy expecting his only grandchild. We were glad to share in his joy. He named his cat Bentley because he said he couldn't afford a Lincoln. That was just a taste of his rich humor. We will all miss...

I would like to extend my condolences to the family. Chuck and I conversed several times over the years when I was selling plumbing supplies. He was always helpful and cooperative with any questions I had. I also knew him of course as a sailor with the Crewe. We were so glad he was able to make it last year.

I am so sorry that Chuck has left us. We have all lost a wonderful friend with a great sense of humor. I will miss him very much.

I knew Chuck back in the late 1950's when he was still in the Navy and stationed in Pensacola. I was so very sorry to hear of his passing and I wanted to let you know what a great terrific person he was. He was a good friend to me and I have thought of him often. I moved away from Mobile in 1961 but I have thought of him often and of the kindness he showed to me and my family. Please accept my condolences.
