Charles Dasher Blume

I learned Vietnamese with Charlie in 1971 and went to Vietnam with him in 1972. I just read about him here and wanted to say how much I enjoyed knowing him. I will always remember the time we spent joined by Steve Krebs as we traveled around Florida, New Orleans, and San Fransisco before leaving for Nam. Charlie was a fine man.

Worked with Charles back in 1984 at the ARPC and decided to look him up and see where he ended up over these many years. Came across his obituary and was saddened at his passing. Good man! My condolensces!

I just found out about the loss of Charles, a dear friend and protege in the world of regional councils. I knew Charles about 20 years through our national organization and found him to always have a smile, a kind heart, and a great story to share. Incredibly proud of his family, I always got an update on Susie and Jason when we spoke. To all who read this, we lost a good Man when Charles went on to heaven. He will be missed.

Recently found out about his passing. My Condolences to Mrs Sue Blume and family. I will never forget your kindness.

What a dear man, he will be sorely missed by many. My heart goes out to his wonderful family.

Wonderful mentor and conversationalist! Witty, charming and above all...fun. A renaissance man. Generous, patient, kind...a mensch in the truest sense. It has been an honor knowing you, Charles Blume. Thanks for all of the good memories we have all had together as friends and family. Godspeed!

Mr Blume was like a father to me and sharvesha anything we needed he and Mrs. Blume were there for us he will truly be miss Mrs. Blume we love you you always treated us like family
