Charles Bolton, a resident of Oceanside, California who grew up in Gilroy, California, passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2025.
Chuck enjoyed a 40+ year career in the insurance industry, as an Actuary and Vice President for Kemper, Clarendon, Praetorian, QBE, and HDI.
A graduate of Santa Clara University, he proudly wore his alum t-shirts throughout his retirement days. He enjoyed cooking, entertaining his friends, and sharing his culinary creations with his friends and family. A generous and compassionate man of faith, he enjoyed mass, and especially listening to the pipe organ.
Chuck is survived by his life partner Tom, his father Jim, his siblings Carter (Maria), Carrie Howell (Rick), Jim (Liz), Michael (Maribel) and many dear nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving mother Frances, his brother, Christopher, and sister, Cathy.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Parish Church, Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 2:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to his home parish, Mission San Luis Rey Parish, 4070 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, CA 92057.
