Mr. Charles H. Braga Sr.

Charles H. Braga Sr. passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at the age of 77. A long-time resident of El Sobrante, Charles Braga Sr. died in his home surrounded by the comfort of his family. He is survived by his wife, Irene, of 54 years, two children Lisa Greatbanks and Charles H. Braga Jr., and their seven grandchildren Alyssa, Kaitlyn, Colleen, Brittany, Ashley, Peter, and Charles III. Mr. Braga served his country in the Marine Corps. during the Vietnam War. After his service he started a career with The City of San Pablo as the parks and streets supervisor until he retired. During this time, he became a dedicated Scoutmaster for BSA Troop 81 in Pinole, CA. Mr. Braga helped shape the lives of many boys and was very proud of each and every one of his troop members. During his 35 years as Scoutmaster, he led 55 young men to their goals of obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout. Mr. Braga enjoyed fishing and hunting, volunteering at the Pinole Senior Center, spending time traveling and taking cruises with his wife, and playing with his grandchildren and watching them grow.
