Not sure what to say?

Please accept my belated condolences to the family. I just found out while doing genealogy research on his late wife's family.

Mr. Ray was like my own grandfather. I will always be grateful for the visits with him, our long lunches together, and learning so much from a man who "did it all". I was amazed at his vast life experience, and was always happy to learn about everything from World War II to T V repair. I'll miss picking peaches, pecans, and tomatoes too. Simply put, he was a great American who loved God, family, and country. He will be sorely missed.

Some of my memories are of my Dad playing dominoes at Rays' shop and how they all looked forward to meeting there. And going dove hunting in Priddy with all the Bratcher family. He will be missed. He's probably playing dominoes and arguing with my Dad right now.

I am proud to have known him and will always remember his great stories of his life. He was a truly nice man, and my family and I will never forget him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I have some very great memories of Uncle Ray! He was always there! Always! 4th of July parties and Christmas parties! I grew up watching the "grown ups" playing 42, listening to him laugh. His garden...hanging out in the lawn mower shop....and even in the TV repair when I was really little! Too many memories to list, but somehow not enough memories! I love him still and will miss him for always!

I loved my Uncle Ray and am especially grateful for some recent good memories - eating catfish and going to CiCi's pizza, reminiscing and having a good time. He'll be missed! Prayers to all the family - wish I could be there with you. Love, Karen

Ray was family and a part of my youth. My prayers go with him.
