Brickman family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I also knew him from working with him at Douglass Elementary. He would come to our classroom in Special Education and would visit our students. He loved and cared for them very much. He was an incredible Teacher.

Mr. Brickman was an incredible mentor, educator, colleague and friend in the time that I knew him. He carried himself with such poise and patience, even in the most trying of situations. He was always willing to listen and support. I hope he was able to spend his last moments with his family whom he adored. The world has lost a good good man.

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the Brickman family. Mr. Brickman was not only my mentor at Douglass Elementary, he was my friend. He loved his sons and his summer in Uruguay with his sons. I hate talking about him in the past tense because even though he never wanted to stand out, he stood out to those who knew him well. He was just my friend and I am struggling to think about the loss of my sounding board, let alone you as the family! He has left a hole in my heart that...
