Not sure what to say?

Loved the photo of that beautiful smiling face. Charlie was indeed one of a kind. I had the pleasure of traveling around the world with Charlie and the Apollo 17 flight crew.

I never met Mr. Buckley but my best friend did on September 9th, 1975. Bill and his wife Carol had front row seats to the lift off of the Viking B and their vehicle permit was signed by Charles L. Buckley Jr which they could keep as souvenirs. Billy just celebrated his 90th birthday and like Mr. Buckley lived a life full of adventure and service. There are some people we meet on our life's journey who's memory lives on. Billy remembered Mr. Buckley's kindness and patience with two visiting...

Charlie was one of the kindest men I have ever known. He was so well respected and loved by those of us who knew him. He had a twinkle in his eye, a ready smile and always courteous. The NASA astronauts had great affection for him as well as trust. One could always count on Charlie to "do the right thing". He was a great loss to many of us. I, for one, will never forget him.

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

Maureen, Colleen, and Karen - I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father and to Mrs. Buckley, the passing of your husband. In having faith, we all know he is in a blessed place. The Buckley family is in my thoughts and prayers during this time.

Charlie always had my deep friendship and admiration. He was indispendable when I was in the Astronaut Office and Quarters at KSC. Charlie was always there for the "guys" amd me through thick and thin. He made our lives much easier, I can never thank him enough. God willing that he joins the "guys" already in the heavens above. My deepest sympathy to Grete and family.

Three of the best years of my life were working as Charlie's secretary at NASA Security!! It was an exciting and special time and he became one of my dearest friends. My love to you, Grete. Thank you for taking care of him.

We are saddened by the loss of a great man.I remember as a child, attending many picnics and get togethers with my dad and his "boss",listening to stories about astronauts, and the many hours spent at NASA.Charlie will be greatly missed by all of the space community and friends."God Speed Charlie" Matt Horner

I am so deeply saddened at the passing of this great and kind man. I have known Charlie for many, many years and treasure the wonderful memories I have of him. He always had a beautiful smile on his face and a kind word. I also had the honor and privilege of his company on President Nixon's around the world Goodwill Tour with the Apollo 17 Crew. The Space world has lost a very valuable member. I shall miss you, dear friend.
