Read MoreDoug and Dutch were roommates in the Georgetown section of Washington, DC back in the fifties when I first met him. I later married Dutch and Doug and Sandy married. Many fun times were shared attending Redskins games and enjoying fun times in Rehoboth and Dewey Beach, DE. He was always fun to be around and and kept us all laughing. Those were great times!

Doug was always patient when I'd wonder over as he sat outside with Cerci (smartest German Shepard ever) and let me throw the ball for her ...he'd always have something funny to say or some words of wisdom. He was always kind and caring. One of my favorite times was learning how to make "popovers" with he and Sandy so simple and delicious, I still make them! So sorry for the loss of a wonderful man...always in my prayers.
