BUNKER, Charles C. "Charlie" - Of Fenton, age 57, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Memorial service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Dr. R. John Harris of Milford Presbyterian officiating. Per his wishes cremation has taken place. Those desiring may make contributions to Genesee County Humane Society or Make-A-Wish Foundation. Visitation 4-8PM Friday and 10AM-2PM Saturday at the funeral home. Charles was born in Flint, Michigan on May 5, 1951, the son of the late Clifton and DeVota (French) Bunker and was a resident of Fenton all of his life. On February 14, 1970 he married Lois Polsgrove. Mr. Bunker was employed by General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1999 from AC Spark Plug Division and he was a member of UAW Local #651. He loved the outdoors, boating, hunting, his pets, Simon and Tommy; traveling, NASCAR, but most of all, he loved his grandchildren. Surviving are wife, Lois; daughter, Barbara (Carl) Ecclestone; his grandchildren, Olivia Lauren and Shane Charles; his sister, DeVota (Carl) Sage; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Clifton and his dog, Max. The family would like to offer special thanks to Genesys Hospice in Goodrich, DaVita Dialysis and Genesys Regional Medical Center for their wonderful care and support.
