Charles Leland Burch, Sr.

Funeral service for Mr. Charles Leland Burch Sr of Tampa, Florida, who the Lord called home on April 2nd 2021 will be held Saturday April 17th 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at University Baptist Church, 2121 East 131st Avenue Tampa, Florida with Pastor Don Grantham officiating. He will be laid to rest at Orange Hill Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Burch; daughter, Wanda Diana Burch; son, Donald Lee Burton; parents, John Henry Burch Sr and Elizabeth Sampson Burch.  

Mr. Charles Leland Burch, Sr. leaves to mourn his passing his children, Charles Leland Burch Jr. Charlesetta Denise Johnson, Glen Burch, Debbie Kay Burch, Benjamin "Teco" Burch, Christopher Leland Burch; sister, Harriet Rivera and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Burch was born on May 17, 1931 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the parentage of John Henry Burch, Sr. and Elizabeth Sampson Burch. He came to Florida by way of Georgia and New York. He was an Automotive Mechanic by trade. He retired from the Tampa Housing Authority in the late 1990.

There will be a viewing on Friday April 16, 2021 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida. Due to the current CDC restrictions, we are asking that you use the visitation as an opportunity to pay your final respect. For your convenience and safety, we have extended our visitation hours.
