CHARLES C. "UNCLE CHARLIE" CAIRNS

Charlie was a wonderful man and dear friend of our Family, especially my Dad Pat Callahan. They met at the UW driving range at least 20 years ago and became fast friends. He was sharp and determined to keep on going as long as he could- and he did!

I met Uncle Charlie when I was 16 years old. When I became a truck driver in '96, I was able to contact him often, but not as much as I would have liked. I was privileged to be able to bring my Mom, Marjorie, to see him for a couple of his birthdays, and met the wonderful friends he had in Seattle. You all were family to him. God bless you all for making his life rich!

Charlie was a long time family friend of my parents, especially my dad. When I was little..I was skiing and ended up on his shoulders going down the slope. He went with us to Sun Valley and he and I went ice skating. (I was about 7) In later years I would see him out walking..where he was out on some of his 10 mile plus walks! I was lucky enough to go to his 100th birthday party..and was amazed at how sharp he still was. I'll always have found memories of Charlie!
