Jan, Much sympathy to you and all the family for your recent struggles and your tremendous loss. I have many fond memories of you and Charlie welcoming me into your home over the years. I´m grateful for those times. And for what Charlie brought to the world. Prayers are with you and each one of your loved ones.

I first met Charlie when we were both residents of Greenville, IL-- he, in elementary school and I in college. I worked in Beaumont Grocery where his parents shopped and my parents owned. Charlie, known as Chuck, would often stop by the store. Charles known to many as Chuck was the premier faculty member when it came to the model of beig a member of the faculty. He was a greatTennis coach and the faculty member to the althelic teams, responsible for academic meeting the standards of the N.A.I.A. Jan, I am so saddened to hear of Charlie's passing. Your love for each other was so evident and immense. I first worked with you at Warner and then took a class from Charlie at Spring Arbor University. What a wonderful teacher he was. Kind and a "true teacher", very much like yourself. Charlie was loved by everyone who knew him. A true academic and scholar, he was also kind and interested in people and in experiencing life to its fullest. He and Jan were truly made for each other--fun-loving, congenial, and perfect hosts, always ready to share a good time with friends. He will be missed.
