Not sure what to say?

Conrad was my uncle, my mother was his sister. I called him Uncle Charlie. He was a fine man, always had a kind word for everyone. I last talked to him a few years ago when my son received his PhD. I was so proud to tell him that we had another doctor in the family, and he was delighted. His sense of humor was unmatched, and we will miss him at family gatherings.

I am so sad to now read of Dr Carter's passing. My first job was at Crippled Children's Division at OHSU as a medical transcriptions, Dr Carter was the acting Neurogist. I left that position to work with him in his office. I was privilaged to take care of his oldest boys from time to time. I was so sad to leave that position when he went on a sabbatical. Even though he had no specific treatment for FAP at that time, his kindness and advanced understanding that this was probably a genetic disorder, helped him to accept...

Dear Conrad- Our family thoroughly enjoyed knowing you. Janelle did as well. Thank you for helping to make the last 5 years of our mother's life, special. We will all miss you--especially your expansive sense of humor! I hope the universe is treating you well, including ample Pink Martini music and that we meet again sometime, out among the cosmos. Much love, ~John
