Not sure what to say?

I never knew SSgt Cartwright, but I am currently serving on the team he was on when he was killed. We´ve dedicated our team emblem to him, a misfit skull, for his love of the band. We´ve also been charged with remembering him by researching him, reaching out to friends, family members and people he´s served with. That´s how I ended up here reading all these entries in this guest book. I must say I am honored to be serving on the same team he served on and I hope to live up to even half the...

Hello, We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let you and your family and friends know that we have made a small donation to the Surf Rider Foundation to honor and remember Charles I. Cartwright US Marine Staff Sergeant. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals across the American youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. ...

I served with Chuck in Iraq in 2004 and 2005 with 1st Battalion 5th Marines Scout Sniper Platoon. He was a good-hearted person and always had a smile on his face. I am proud to have served with someone who gave his life for his country. I'll see you when I get there Cartwright. R.I.P brother.

I think about Charlie often. Every year on his birthday, every Memorial Day, every time I hear a Barrington Levy song (just to name a few).... and I will never forget what an amazing friend he was to me when I really needed one. To the Cartwright family, thank you for raising such a kind and respectful human being who is still missed.

Just thinking about you. I missed Memorial Day and am sorry about thatl
HEROES LIVE IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER, NEVER TO BE FOGOTTEN

I don't know Charles but when you lose a love one in death the pain can become unbearable. Please find comfort at Micah 4:3,4

I wanted you to know that you are being thought of on this Veterans Day. HEROES never die. They live in our hearts forever.

To the family and friends of Sgt. Charles Cartwright:
Please accept my remembrance of Charles on the anniversary of his passing and know that he will never be forgotten.

I love you like a brother, and I will always remember the times we had together wether it was on the beach, at the bars, or just sitting out on side of some hill while doing our field opps.
