Not sure what to say?

We thank all of you from our grieving hearts, this has been very sudden for all of us especially when I was joking with Dad only 24 hrs earlier.
It is comforting to know that Charlie lived a peaceful life and passed away in the same manner, they say the best way to know someone is through their friends---well he had a lot throughout his times in life, and he made everyone of them laugh,--it was his way of thanking everyone who was a part of his journey throughout this life.
We will...

Ricky,Susan,Nancy & Gerald,
We were very sorry to hear about your dad's passing. He was such a good neighbor and a great help to my mom. We felt at ease knowing that Charlie was just next door in case of anything.
Our thoughts are with all of you at this time.

Irene & Edward Gannon

My condolences to the family. Charlie and I shared October 3 as the same birthday . He was a really fun guy.

Wayne Bridel - Old Lep colleague in the 70's

Ricky, Susan, Nancy and Gerald, I am so sorry to hear that your father has passed away. Every time I passed your Dad on the street, we would stop and talk. He would always bring me up to date on what you were doing. He was very proud of you and his grandchildren. It amazed me that he still recognized me after so many years! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so glad that I had met Charlie and that I was able to be there for him - and all of you. I know he must have been very proud of all of you; you are wonderful people! May God's peace and blessing continue to be with each one of you.

Ricky, Susan, Nancy, and Gerald, we were so sorry to hear from Aunt Muriel of Uncle Charlie's passing. He would phone us or come to visit when he came to Ottawa, and we have kept in touch recently by e-mail sharing jokes and telling stories from his past with his older brother Conrad ( my Dad). Dad would drive to Montreal a few times a year with us to see Uncles Henri and Charlie and all the cousins. I remember Benny Farm well from those visits and have read Gerald's comments about the place...

We are so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. He was such a kind neighbor and family friend, always there with a laugh or a helping hand. Our sympathies to his family. Our thoughts are with them now.

The BFTA extends their condolences to the Chartrand family. Charlie was a long time tenant and member who devoted his time and energy to support us. He will be missed by all who knew him.
