One of the brightest of the brightest, and the brightest lights shine for a long time. We'll all remember Charles, admire his intellect and sense of humor, and will remember his family in our prayers.

I had the privilege of being one of Charlie's Phi Kappa Theta fraternity brothers at OSU. When Charlie pledged he was already a junior and well on his way to attaining a double major. But despite his heavy academic load, he never ducked any of his pledgeship responsibilities; he took everything in stride. Although I had been an attorney for more than 20 years When I became assistant general counsel at the Oklahoama, I was pretty much out of my depth of experience. Charles was an awesome mentor. He didn't spoon-feed me but rather pointed me where to look, and answered any questions I might still have had. I caught on quickly. Charles was brilliant, approachable, and modest.
