Mr. Cherry brought hope to "kids" on Johnson Avenue. While playing basketball with us, he would pour into us and speak life into us. He reminded me that hard work pays off and I should just be me, because everyone else was taken... The kid in me and now adult, appreciates you Mr. Cherry. Your memory lives on!

all you did was smile when you found out who was my dad and you gave me $50 i wish i had more time with you and more time to get to know you uncle but your our Guardian angel now continue to watch over us we love and miss you
