Not sure what to say?

The Rohrer family of central Pennsylvania send their condolences on the loss of Chuck Cladel - our father Victor Rohrer knew both Chuck and Nancy well, and they were staunch friends of our family for decades, serving with my dad on the Manada Conservancy. During his illness and my mother's and our sister Beth's recent illness, they supported us. We just learned of Chuck's passing and know that we will miss him very much - Laura (Rohrer) and Michael Charelian, and Beth, Todd and Jon Rohrer.

Condolences to your family Dr Cladel I could never thank you enough for your wonderful work with our family and my son who is now 28 and thriving because you never gave up on him when so many did ! Rest in peace.

Our world is a tad smaller with the loss of Chuck. When I was a fledgling doctoral intern, I was so impressed how Dr. Cladel encouraged and included other professionals information in his decision making about children he was evaluating. I naively thought, all child psychiatrists performed this way. I quickly learned otherwise and it deepened my respect for Chuck. Although I only had the opportunity to know Chuck and Nancy for a few years, I will always remember Chuck as a kind and wonderful man. It was sad to have them leave our local community and sadder to know he is gone from our world. May he rest in peace.

Dr. Cladel was my constant supporter in the fight against our mutual antagonist, multiple myeloma...all done via email. I never met Dr. Cladel in person, but I certainly felt I knew his kindness and thoughtfulness. Thank-you so much for entering my life. I will not forget you, nor Nancy, David, Eloisa, and Anne. Chuck was an excellent doctor, teacher, and human being . He taught us so much about helping children in need of emotional support . And we were fortunate enough to consider him a dear friend. So many happy memories of fishing with him in Canada, and his backyard pond. May God bless him and his family. His kind and loving presence will be missed by all of us. Bob and Barb Fleming

Sorry to hear of Dr Cladel´s passing. He was a kind soul and a great man. He educated many Special Education staff including me. Chuck was a patient teacher and greatly influenced my career as a psychologist. He was at his best fishing in Canada. He was loved and our family will miss him. Bob & Barb F

I consider it to have been a memorable day in my life when, in 1969/1970, I first met Chuck at the University of Rochester. We were both taking the same course (Chuck for a pre-med requirement and I for graduate school), and we wound up sitting next to each other in the lecture hall. I was so impressed that Chuck had decided to switch from a career in engineering to one in medicine. This career shift required many more years of schooling, indicating that Chuck did not shy away from...
