Miss you terribly Grampa

To the Clapp children, Although many many years have passed I never forgot all the times I spent with the family at the house or camping at Nickerson down the cape. Your dad always made me feel like part of the family, he had a special way about him, just as your mom did. Sometimes we don't see these things until we get older but even as kids we know kindness. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Grandpa,
You should be so proud of the family that you have raised. Your legacy will forever live on in your children, grand children and great-grandchildren. Your kindness and generosity along with your amazing sense of humor will never be forgotten. Thank you for all of your love and for always treating me like your granddaughter. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I had many uncles when I was growing up but none was dearer to me than my Uncle Charlie whom I called Unc. He was seven years older than I was and he treated me as his younger brother. He gave me his bicycle when I was about ten. When I was 24 and just out of the seminary, he bought me a suit. He was always there for me and I am sure he was there for many, many others. A man to be admired and imitated! God loves you, Unc!
