Not sure what to say?

Charlie was easie to talk to, will never forget the few years that I new him.

In circa 1967 I met Charles' daughter Margaret, when we were both attending the U. Oregon. "Maggie" developed appendicitis in 1969, and after her operation in Eugene, Charles flew out to Oregon to bring his daughter home to Cleveland. I flew with them and stayed for awhile at their lovely home in Cleveland Heights. Later that summer, Charles drove Margaret and I to Pentwater on Lake Michigan. Getting to know the Clarkes was a wonderful experience for me. Having dinner with them and seeing the...

I worked for Mr. Clarke for several years. He was the nicest attorney I ever worked for. My fondest memory of Mr. Clarke was when he quoted a line from a song that I didn't know, so he sang it to me. I couldn't believe my boss was singing to me in his office! I of course applauded when he was done. He would come in every day and always comment on what a lovely day it was, even if it was raining. God speed Mr. Clarke.

I was very fortunate to work with Mr. Clarke as his secretary for a short time. He was truly a "classic" in many ways. My deepest sympathies to the Clarke family - when he spoke of his family it was with great love and pride. He will truly be missed.

I am so sorry to learn of Charlie's passing. He was truly a giant in his profession and also a wonderful human being, I feel privileged to have known him. May his memory be eternal.

Hi Kip and Allison,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I was hoping to attend the services tomorrow for Mr. Clarke, but I won't be able to get away from the office. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My deepest condolences,
Tom Griffith

To the family of Charlie Clarke: I am so sorry for your loss. Charlie was such a positive influence in my life. As a young attorney, he took me under his wing and was the true essence of a mentor both professionally and personally. I can't think of anyone I have respected more than Charlie both in terms of their legal skills and their personal ethics. I so appreciated his support throughout my life and hope he is in a special part of Heaven for those who have truly improved the world...
