Charles Cline

CLINE, Charles “Charlie” - Of Holly, age 71, died Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at U of M Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday May 24, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Dr. Max Hayden officiating.

Visitation will be at 12 pm Saturday May 24, 2025, until the time of service. 

Burial in Green Hills Cemetery in Waynesville, North Carolina. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Charlie was born in Bluefield West Virgina on September 22, 1953, to Charles A. and Mary (Wright) Cline. 

Charlie married Susanna Tapanes on December 20, 1996.

Charlie enjoyed barbecuing. Charlie throughout his life was a hobby knife and sheath maker and owned Cline Knives for many years. He was an avid football fan and especially rooted for the Alabama Crimson Tide. 

Charlie was a retired Sheriffs Deputy with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office in Florida. 

Surviving are wife, Susanna;

Sons, Shaun Cline, Charlie Cline;

Daughters Brittani (Jeremy) Matthews, Kristina Reyes and Millie Everhart;

Father Charles Cline;

Several nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren.
