Charles “Chuck” E. Cochran, 75, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in Slidell.
Chuck was born February 14, 1949, in Atlanta, Georgia, to James and Agnes Cochran.
He joined the U.S. Navy after high school graduation and while stationed in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, he met the love of his life, Loretta Ledet. The two were married in 1970. After his retirement from the Navy, the couple moved to Slidell.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Loretta Cochran; two children, Michelle Zeringue (Michael), James Cochran (Cynthia); grandchildren, Brittany Casto (Cody Brinson), Brynn Zeringue; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Bermudez, Skyler Brinson, Simba Brinson, Carter Brinson, Camden Brinson; and a sister, Nadra Cochran (Alberta Vellone).
Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA, on Monday, August 26, 2024.
Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the funeral service at 11:00am.
Burial will be in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell.

Never forget when we first met you and Loretta in Scotland, how you became our American family along with Michelle and Jimmy. i always had the best summers when i went and saw uncle chuck and aunt loretta. he would feed us so many different snacks and play around with us “picking” on us. i unfortunately didn’t get to see uncle chuck before he passed and i hadn’t talked to him in while i hope he knew that i loved him and will forever cherish those few summers i got to spend with him. i know he is up in heaven bickering with grammie “dolores” and they are both watching over us together. i love you uncle chuck and aunt...
