My condolence to the Coles family. I first met Coach Coles in 1973 when he was coaching my cousin Tony Smith at Saginaw High School. He was sitting in my Aunt's living room and he asked me if I played basketball. Only in the 4th grade at the time, I told him that I was going to play for Saginaw High when I get older. 10 years later I was playing for Saginaw High. Our deepest condolences to the entire Coles family. From the time well over 40 years ago playing for Coach Coles as he began his coaching career at Sycamore, to his kind help to my son Matt during his time at Miami, he influenced our lives in such meaningful ways. We're honored to have been his friends.
