Not sure what to say?

Charles (Uncle Charley to me) was a powerful force of good in the lives of so many. Charles was a model of discipline, kindness, evenness, thoughtfulness, intellectual prowess, and compassionate attunement. He will be deeply missed by his family. But he will live on forever in our hearts.

Charles Cooper (or better known to my daughter as Uncle Charlie) was a very kind person. Mary Ann and Charlie took my daughter and I in as family and I will never forget how they included us in family activities and made my daughter feel so special. He was a loving man that showed kindness to all. We are sorry for his passing and send prayers to his family. I know he will still be looking out for everyone and helping those that need it from heaven. God Bless Charlie and am glad he has...

I'm surprised that Charles and I do not both pass from having Melanoma! At his 8th grade graduation weekend we spent the day at state park and were so badly sunburned that I peeled 4 times. Charles Cooper was a beloved professor. I am not alone in deeply grieving his loss. He held an almost guru status among some of his graduate students. He was among the scholars who ushered in composition studies as a discipline in higher education, and he did so in part to empower those who had little voice. I admired Charles. My brother loved trading stories and learning from him. He had a marvelous gift yet made everyone feel like a fellow traveler. Visiting Charles and Mary Ann in their lovely garden was one of my special memories in these past years.

I would like to send my condolences to the family and friends of Charles. I know many will miss him dearly. Even tho he lived a full life, it's never easy to lose someone you love so dearly. My prayers are with you to help you to cope with your loss. May the God of all comfort, be with you and comfort you.
