Not sure what to say?

I loved him and will never forget his gift of his attention to a young scholarship kid from Hialeah, Florida. I wish I could be remembered so honorably as this man. One helluva good man!

Charlie,
I never met your Dad but heard many wounderful stories from the many people who did know him. He lived a full life and was a positive influence to so many. Sorry to hear of his passing. May the life long memories of him be with you and your family.

Mr. Corey coached at MCI during my years there. He was such a gentleman and always so nice. I played in the marching band so got to see a lot of football games. Deepest sympathy from the MCI class of 1953.
Catherine Doyle Mooers, Class Agent

Many happy memories of Uncle Nels, Aunt Kay, Charlie & Jeff. Still can remember the roars, cheers, laughter and a few swears when Uncle Nels and "the boys" took over the den to watch Thanksgiving Day football...

I will miss you your stories and most of all your sense of Humor RIP Uncle Nels

Another from the 'Greatest Generation' in God's care.
Thank you for your service.

May the good memories comfort you all at this time. I was blessed to know Nels at the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care. He always was in high spirits no matter what health challenges he was dealing with.

One of my fondest years of coaching was 1982 when Nels and I coached the Gardiner freshman football team. I learned so much from Nels that year and he was a constant supporter of the Tigers during my years as head coach. Nels had such a positive influence on so many student-athletes over the years. He is a model for the role of teacher-coach.My condolences to the family.
