Not sure what to say?

It is with great sadness that I learn of Charlie's passing. He was a great friend and colleague, and as others have stated, one of the smartest LR practitioners around. I'll always remember that Charlie and Arline arranged a great welcome back to San Diego for me upon my retirement. My thoughts and prayers are with all your family.

Although I've been retired 20 years from NASNI, I still remember Charlie and his wonderful approach in the Human Relations area. We had a good time working together and trying to make things better for whom we touched.

Our condolences to Charlie’s family over his recent passing. We both had known Charlie for many years, as members of the Navy's Human Resources community. We believe that Charlie represented a level of professionalism in dealing with others that most can only strive to attain, including comprehensive knowledge, personal integrity, unfailing candor, and (not least) a finely-tuned sense of humor that could skewer life’s daily absurdities. He truly will be missed.

Charlie was an admirable gentlemen, with great character and integrity. I had the pleasure of dealing with him at the FRC San Diego over the past 28 years. Although, I have worked with many Employee Relations Specialists, Charlie was the “Guru” when it came to the Employee & Labor Relations business. Charlie’s level of expertise and knowledge certainly warranted that he should have been the HR Director at Coronado. In the recent months, Charlie and I communicated often regarding our...

Arline, Cristen and Todd - Joe and I extend our condolences to you and your familiy on Charlie’s passing. Charlie was a friend and a great boss for many years. I have many good memories over those years. Peace, prayer and blessing are sent to you and your family.

Sherry & Carol, I'm sorry to hear about your brother, eventho I never met him, my heart goes to both of you, your mother, Jeanne, was a good friend of mine, while we worked together at USG Plaster City. I remember when my brother passed away, there is always a void in my heart for him, again my heart goes to both of you for the lost of your brother. Him and your mom are together now, I'm sure she is enjoying him. Love always, Lola Mendoza

My sypathy to the Family. Charlie has left us way to soon. NASNI is a Big place, but several of us were associated because of the role of HRO. Charlie always did his best to assist. I'm sure his friends here will carry many fond memories.
Respectfully
Howard Gillins FFD (ret.)

Arline, Kristen and Todd - I'm so sorry for your loss. Charlie meant a lot to me (as he did to scores of others). May God keep you all in his heart during this very very sad time.

Arline, Cristen and Todd - My condolences to you all on Charlie’s passing. Charlie was my friend and co-worker for 25 years. We had many good times over those years, at work and at play. Most recently, as a couple of old retired guys trying to bowl (golf is too hard and expensive). I know bowling will never be the same without him. Like all who knew Charlie, I’ll really miss him.
