Several years ago when Father Cross was Administrator of the St. Thomas Catholic Life Center in Birmingham, he gave me two textbooks the late Father James E. Coyle used for teaching when he was at McGill Institute in Mobile, Alabama from 1898 until 1904 when he was appointed Pastor of St. Paul's Catholic Church in downtown Birmingham. Father Cross meant a great deal to my family and myself. I am very grateful for his presence in our lives. He will be greatly missed.

May God and His Holy Angels welcome Fr. Cross into heaven. He was always so good to me and my family.

Father Cross was really so special to me and to our family. We have a lot of great memories of him. He helped so many while he was a priest. He was truly a great friend to us. WE LOVED FATHER CROSS VERY MUCH. HE MARRIED US IN FEB. 1975. HE GAVE MY HUSBABD HIS LESSONS TO BECOME CATHOLIC AND WAS THE PRIEST AT ST PAULS CATHEDRAL WHERE WE STILL GO. GOD BLESS HIM AND MAY HE HAVE ETERNAL HAPPINESS. STEVE AND PAULA PEEPLES

Father Cross was a wonderful person and friend. I have known him my entire life. I will miss his kindness and compassion and his words of wisdom. I am so thankful that I got the chance to see him in March after 20 years. Rest in Peace, Father. You will be missed and never forgotten.
