Dear Diane, Nancy and Jeff, I have so many wonderful memories of your Mom and Dad. One of the most vivid is of Dr. Crothers rolling up his sleeves and making us burgers! It just struck me as so sweet. We shared so much fun on Dover Road. Sincere sympathy to all of you. He was a remarkable man. The world was diminished by his passing.

Dr Crothers literally saved my life at age 8 after a near respiratory arrest from asthma. His compassion and charm made me feel better, even before receiving medical treatment. Besides my parents , he was my main inspiration to attend medical school and become a doctor. To this day, I try to engage my patients in the same way he did, keeping in mind that children are influenced more by your example than sometimes by medicine alone. I am saddened by his passing , but know that he left a...

I was saddened when I learned today of Doctor Crothers' passing. I cannot begin to say what a truly great doctor he was. I have so many fond memories of visiting his office whether for a routine check up or other ailment. I always felt the comfort of his smile and laugh when he walked in the exam room. His words alone were true medicine. His bow ties and balloons at the end of my visits are memories that have stayed with me since my last visit as a "child". I cannot say enough good...

Dr. Crothers took care of me and my two brothers and one sister. Going to see him was not always a pleasure (it hurt sometimes!), but I will never forget his smile and kind nature, which made things not quite so bad. I'm sorry to hear he is gone. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

To the Family of Dr. Crothers--When my husband and I moved to the New Britain area 30 years age, he suggested "my pediatrician when I was a kid was Dr. Crothers, and that's who I select for our kids." I was escorted down the hall to the examining room, when he stopped and smiled at my 2 year old daughter. He said to me, "That little girls HAS to be a Zangari! Which one is her daddy?" (He had 2 brothers). I loved him from the moment I met him. And the bow ties he always wore! My three...

Nancy and Diane, I am sorry to hear that your dad has passed. Your family was so very important to me, providing such a kind and nurturing place to be for a troubled kid. I will always cherish Diane's leadership and example, and Nancy you were a great friend. I'd love to hear from you.
