Not sure what to say?

"Mr.Custer" as I knew him was a wonderful family man and a very good man.He took my son under his wing as one of his own. We were blessed to have known him

Charles (we called him Charley at Holy Angels) and I were nearly joined at the hip in eighth grade; he was a good guy and great friend. He knew more about sports than most sports writers. One day, walking home from school, Charley & I got into a fist fight, and Charley beat the living heck out of me. Sgts Custer always left me with a smile, while we worked together in the 5th District, my deepest sympathies to his family. Rest In Peace my friend

I worked with Officer Custer at Thurgood Marshall Elementary School during his last year. Charles had a great sense of humor, and he had a way of making me smile. He was always a bright spot in my day. He became a true friend during the short time I knew him. My deepest condolences to his family.

My sympathies to the Custer family. Mr. Custer always let me and Colleen stay in the kitchen practicing lines and rehearsing until late in the night. He always had an open door policy to the family parties and gatherings which often included me riding in the back of the blue van. These were just a few memories of him. A good man in every way and will be missed. Sincerely Brian

I was honored to work alongside Officer Custer on his last assignment this side of Eternity at Thurgood Marshall Elementary School. Even in the midst of stressful situations, he maintained the same calm disposition. He was always willing to lend a hand in anyway possible. Never once did he say "That's not my job" even when someone asked him to do something that really wasn't his job! Prayers of comfort to the family of Officer Charles "Chuck" Custer.

So sorry for your loss, you are all in my prayers

You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult, sad time. We remember the Chaz man as a good friend and kind person. We have fond thoughts of Charlie and your family at our district cookouts and mountain madness. Penn State will win Saturday's game for Chuck! The Schneider Family
