Not sure what to say?

Charles Wesley Daniels

I am so proud of the well-justified and hard-earned successes of Charles Wesley Daniels and happy that I have had the opportunity to have known him over the past 53 years. My sole regret is that I was not able to see him more frequently since our graduation from the UNM law school class of 1969 and, particularly once more before his too early death. You will be missed by many, my old friend!

I was a student of Chuck Daniels at the UNM Law School, about 1976. He was an excellent teacher, respected and popular. He understood how the poor and the working poor generally did not receive the same kind of access to justice in both the criminal justice system and the civil court system as persons with resources had. He did outstanding work in the field of civil rights. His participation will be missed.
But even after his passing, he continues to educate.

A wonderful person with an amazing wife and life-partner. Both have contributed a huge amount to our state. He was and is a terrific friend and mentor to my sister.

Charlie was a remarkable man and had a remarkable life. We were friends for 50+ years that included all sorts of things, too many to mention, including time in DC together, working together in the law, and racing open wheel cars all over the country which was always a great adventure. Charlie did just about everything, and he was terrific at everything he did. He made a huge difference in the law, especially with bail reform. We won't see another Charles Wesley Daniels.

It was a real privilege to work with Chuck on the few few occasions I had over the years. He was so capable, and a true gentleman. He will be missed.

I am always saddened when we lose a professional colleague. Especially on like Chuck who brought honor and prestige to our profession. Chuck was a classmate of mine and brought distinction to the UNM class of 1969.

We here at Quickbeam Systems will always remember our first legal counsel. Such an honor to have known and worked with Charlie.

Such a kind man with a heart of gold. We thank you for coming and playing at our 40th celebration.
Such a great time -made better by your presence.

Play on Chief Justice Daniels. You are now playing on the biggest stage !
