I remember him fondly from my years at Goose Creek High. He was a kind and gentle soul. Greeted all of his students with a smile and a kind word. RIP Coach Davis!

My friendship with Charlie Davis began over 50 years ago at (now) Charleston Southern where he was on a Track and Field Scholarship. He was in Married student Housing.We crossed paths again when I took a job teaching at Goose Creek High.Through teaching, Coaching, and again as Guidance Counselor, we were friends and colleagues. When I came to Berkeley County in 2006 as the special education director Charlie welcomed me to the district with open arms. I had the privilege to work with him and he helped me grow as a leader. He was a "sermon in shoes" daily living his Christianity in all his actions and words. I'm blessed that God allowed him to be a part of my journey in this life. My condolences to his dear family. Rest in Peace Charlie. You made a huge difference in this world.

Charlie was a wonderful individual. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to work with him under his leadership. He was a true man of God.

Condolences to all of Charlie's family, friends, students, players, and co-workers. As all of you know, Charlie was a treasure. Mr. Davis was one of the coaches that played a great role in my junior and senior years of high school. May God bless his family.

Charlie Davis was a phenomenal human being who loved God, his family, and all of the children he served. I will never forget playing golf with him as well. My life was enriched just by knowing him.
