Not sure what to say?

I met Chuck when I returned to Deerfield as a member of the Alumni Office. I was an avid squash and tennis player, despite birth defects scoliosis, and 3 cm short leg, and a club foot. I spent a lot of time in the trainer's room with Chuck. Not only was he a gifted medical professional, he had a great sense of humor. He will be remember fondly by many generations of Deerfield athletes. Requiescat in pace.

I loved Chuck's humor, countless sports stories, and dedication to his craft. His care to my sprained ankle (not the world's most exciting injury) about 25 years ago was remarkable. He has been an integral part of the DA landscape, and is in the hall of fame of anyone who had the pleasure to work with him and know him.

Dear Kay, Kathy and Deb,
May your memories sustain you in the coming days.
Chuck was always a gentleman.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

He gave me my first job as an Athletic Trainer at Deerfield Academy. Such a great guy - I learned a lot from him. My condolences to his family. RIP Chuck.

What a gentle man and a gentleman! A life well-lived.

Dear Kay and family
How often Dennis and I have laughed over our special Chuck story - watch out when you stand in line in front of Chuck at the Dining Hall!
Our thoughts are with you. A legend, a friend, and an old fashioned gentleman. Godspeed Chuck.

Kay and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. I've thought of you both so often over the years since leaving DA. I know that you must be grateful for the love and support of your family at this difficult time. You and Chuck are in my prayers.
